Scammers Don’t Take the Holidays Off
The holidays are a time for giving, gathering and staying close to the people we love. We shop more, share more, and hear from family more often than at any other time of year. Sadly, scammers count on that. They send fake delivery texts, set up phony online stores, and pretend to be a loved one in trouble, all to take advantage of our holiday spirit.
The good news is we don’t have to face this alone. Most scams follow similar patterns, and once you know the signs, they’re much easier to spot. That’s why we’re hosting this event: to give you the tools to protect yourself and the people you care about, so you can enjoy the season with peace of mind.
RegisterHosted by people who fight fraud every day
This event comes from the team behind the Stop the Scammers Tour. It’s hosted by Iowa Fraud Fighters, a program of the Iowa Department of Insurance and Financial Services, in partnership with AARP Iowa. You’ll hear from the people who help Iowans spot, stop and report scams.
